An Academic Portfolio theme for Hugo

A minimal Hugo theme suited for academic portfolios. Layout inspired by the Academic Pages project.

Lists your contributions per category on a one-pager layout, with a fixed sidebar displaying your info.

Example of the homepage

Features

  • Data-driven content (configurable in data/)
  • Custom order for academic sections
  • Extendable
  • Responsive and mobile-friendly
  • Research-suited socials

Next steps

  • Create listing pages with contributions details page
  • Improve the design, possibly using children themes
  • Use bib files directly

Disclaimer

I wanted to test agentic capacities in the same timeframe when I needed to develop a Hugo theme for my own portfolio. I took the opporunity to fully vibe-code a project from scratch, resulting in the current project.
